2nd rotation to Jeanette
June, 2005When Anaj arrived I was very excited. She looked tribal to me, yet with an air of confidence. She immediately sparked ideas in my mind of where I wanted to take her.
She would appreciate a new outfit, but she also wanted some adornment. There was a decision that needed to be made. I decided to adorn her with jewelry that suited her personality.
Tribes are miniature societies that have rituals and traditions unique to their existence. They develop a system of symbolism so that these traditions will be communicated to future generations. These symbols are learned and understood by each member, at a very early age.
Anaj's jewelry conveys these messages:
The 'talisman' is a good luck charm against negative influences.
The bulls-eye, or three concentric circles, stand for authority, grandeur, firmness and magnanimity (generous, charitable, large-hearted).
The windmill means the ability to face difficulty in life.
I can't think of anything else to say. These symbols speak for themselves, and seem to say it all.
Anaj and I had a wonderful time. (Even though her head came loose. I had to re-glue it.)
I wish her the best of luck on the rest of her journey and look forward to visiting with her again soon.
Creatively yours
